I always use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs when designing a trip - if a client isn’t fed, isn’t enjoying their shelter (hotel), then no amount of wow experiences are going to move the needle to create transformative travel memories.
I would add Forestis to this list, just for fun.
What I’ve seen is that when people get to a certain level of wealth, the search for meaning becomes more imperative and wide-ranging. If life is no longer hunt/gather/survive, then who are we in relation to the world and ourselves? Travel becomes the mechanism to search for these answers - a physical journey to mimic our spiritual one.

The Japanese tourism board used to do these great videos about Japanese culture and they featured a restaurant in the woods where they set a plate for the forest spirits. That’s what it reminded me of. But now we obviously need to see your cabin!
